PLATFORM

BRP revolutionized the snowmobile industry when it launched its driver-centred REV platform in 2002. In 2003, we took it one step further by adding 20 cm (8 inches) of leg room to improve rider comfort. The aluminum chassis reduces the weight of the vehicle by 23 kg (50 pounds) which improves cornering, provides more control and quicker acceleration. The reduction in weight greatly improves the fuel economy of Ski-Doo and Lynx snowmobiles. The REV platform comes in three different models, the REV XP, REV-XR and REV-XU.

The Can-Am Commander side-by-side vehicle was designed with a more ergonomic seating and steering position than competitive side-by-side vehicles. This provides a more optimal seating position, automotive-like ergonomics, low hip position, easier ingress/egress, optimal comfort when riding and more leg room.

TRIM SYSTEM (TTI)

BRP's TTI system is the only independent rear suspension design that eliminates scrub and camber changes. Scrub happens when rear wheels arc in and out as they roll over obstacles, resulting in compromised handling. The TTI system requires up to 75 % fewer moving parts than a traditional independent rear suspension, making it more durable.
